Car shopping this weekend. Hopefully this baby will be mine by Saturday evening.
I took the job at the sign place.

Thank goodness. I love it there. And I’m making bank. Won’t be working at GTP. Might still work at the greenhouse some weekends though.

Jobs

So, I have three jobs right now. I just got two of them. One at a greenhouse across the street from my house and the other at a small business down the street that makes signs, stickers, shirts, and those letters you see on the sides of trucks and stuff. Of course, I still work as a photographer for GTP, but I think I’m going to have to quit. I don’t want to, but they pay the least amount. Plus, at the sign place, I’d be working every day for a set amount of hours, where as at GTP my schedule is completely random. Ugh. I don’t want to quit there. I love it. But I feel like the other jobs will be really cool as well. I’m especially excited for the sign shop.

Hm. I wish I didn’t have to work at all, actually.

Philosophical And Unhappy Or Blissfully Ignorant?

When I read the query in my text book that asked if I would rather be “happy and blissfully ignorant or philosophically concerned but not always happy” I immediately knew my answer. That’s not to say that I didn’t continue to think about it. I thought about it for a good ten minutes before I started writing this. Being a human, I am full of emotions. Though they are both good and bad, I have grown to accept each and every one of them. I believe this question is asking me if I would rather be happy all of the time, which would only be one emotion, or if I would like to be philosophical and not always happy, which would induce more than just one emotion. Without a doubt, I would much prefer a life with multiple emotions – the good and the bad – rather than going through life being happy and not having a single deep, thought-provoking question on my mind. Too much of a good thing is never a good thing, even if that thing is happiness. I just wouldn’t feel human if I was happy all of the time and not thinking deeply.

Yay for birthdays.

Too bad it’s my 19th. One, what do you do on your 19th birthday? There isn’t really anything special that supposed to happen. Too old for a party. Too young to go out and drink or whatever. Ugh. Well, I’m spending the day taking notes for my Business Writing class, which is taking FOREVER, and then I’m going to dinner with my family, and then probably taking more notes. Fun. Happy birthday to me.

“The fact that music can induce goosebumps, draw a tear, and inspire, is one of my favorite parts of being a human.” - Unknown

When asked “What kind of music do you like?” I can truly reply “Everything” without lying like a majority of people do when they are answering that question. Now, that’s not to say that they are intentionally lying. It’s mostly just a mistake — giving an answer without actually thinking about the question. I guarantee that when someone says they like every kind of music, they aren’t thinking about things like Opera, Jazz, Classical, and things of that nature. They are most likely referring to the most common forms of music like Pop, Rap, Rock, and Country. The reason I feel like I answer honestly every time I am asked this question is because no matter what kind of music it is, I find beauty in it. There is no form of music that does not amaze me at some point. Music as a whole, in my opinion, is one of the most astonishing things that human beings have ever created, and will ever create.

Books And Movies

Today I got the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo series. All except the third one because they only had it in a big hardcover copy which was too expensive. Hopefully I can find it in paperback by the time I’m finished with the first two. I’m really excited to read them. I’ve wanted to for a while. Just saw the new movie last week and it was fantastic. I’d like to see the other version of the movie. I’ll have to try to find it on Netflix. Oh, and speaking of movies, I also got Into The Wild. I’ve heard it’s really good. We’ll see.
